This process has important advantages over any dye-sublimation or non-ceramic printing process. The primary advantage is image permanence. Standard ceramic wall-tiles can be printed and fired permanently with new ceramic images. The fired surface of the printed tiles is tough, washable and resistant to scratching or abrasion.
